Los Cabos and Cabo San Lucas

Bienvenidos a Los Cabos!
What makes a place so special you can’t wait to come back?
Los Cabos offers fantastic scenery, unbelievable weather, a
variety of activities, great restaurants, hot nightlife and
outstanding fishing and golf. Top it off with stunning villas
and resorts with incredible amenities and you have an
unforgettable tropical hideaway. ESSV will make sure that
your Cabo vacation is everything you’ve imagined and more.

Los Cabos is just south of the Tropic of Cancer on the same
latitude as Hawaii’s island of Kauai and the Bahamas, with
a semi-arid, temperate climate. The Sierra de La Laguna
mountain range provides a dramatic backdrop. Winter, when
grey whales frolic in the Sea of Cortez, is sunny and fresh with
cool nights. From July to October, diving, fishing and surfing
are at their finest.

Los Cabos is home to two distinct towns: Cabo San Lucas
and San José del Cabo. Both are safe, clean and have modern
services like bank machines, good medical facilities, cellular
telephone providers and Internet cafes. English is spoken in
hotels and most stores and restaurants.

Los Cabos has a fascinating history where pirates once laid in
wait to plunder Spanish galleons. In the 1940s, screen legends
like John Wayne and Bing Crosby flew in by private plane to
fish and hunt in seclusion. Now people come for the chance to
relax, whether it’s getting out on the water, on the greens, or
exploring the back country by four-wheel drive.

Cabo San Lucas, known for its lively atmosphere and big
money bill fish tournaments, sits on the bay of the same name
overlooking El Arco, the amazing natural rock arch at the
tip of the Baja California peninsula. It’s here that the Pacific
Ocean and the Sea of Cortez meet at Land’s End. A popular
port of call for cruise ships, Cabo has an excellent marina and
a fine swimming beach wonderful for water sports.

In the 20-mile oceanfront Corridor between Cabo
San Lucas and San José del Cabo, you’ll find
spectacular world-class golf courses. Designed
by some of the biggest names in golf, they offer
dramatic ocean views. Jack Nicklaus designed three
incredible courses in the area, including the Ocean
Course at Cabo del Sol, ranked among the “Top 100
Golf Courses in the World” by Golf Magazine.

Los Cabos’ beaches are renowned for their beauty,
especially picturesque Santa Maria, Chileno and
Palmilla, all popular swimming and snorkel spots in
the Corridor. Photogenic Lovers Beach, near
El Arco, is only accessible by boat.

San José del Cabo is the quiet side of Los Cabos.
Downtown is colonial and slow-paced, with 18th
century architecture and warm hospitality.

Los Cabos is a place to forget the real world for
a while. Only a few short hours from most U.S.
gateways, you can leave home in the morning and
be by the pool that same afternoon. Discover
Los Cabos and enjoy the vacation of your dreams.
